Turn an everyday canvas tote into a one-of-a-kind work of art! In this fun, beginner-friendly workshop, you'll personalize a canvas tote using a variety of fabric decorating techniques. Choose from stencils, fabric paints, paint markers, and hand-carved or pre-made block print stamps, or combine techniques to create a design that's uniquely yours.
Whether you prefer bold graphics, abstract patterns, or hand-lettered quotes, you'll create a durable, wearable piece of art you'll enjoy using for years to come.
No experience is necessary; all supplies are provided. If you have a tote (or other textile) you'd like to decorate, you have the option to bring your own!
Participants will:
Explore fabric painting, paint markers, and block printing techniques
Learn basic composition and color design for textiles
Experiment with layering patterns, images, and lettering
Create a personalized canvas tote that's both functional and artistic

Refund and Cancellation Policies:
As a nonprofit organization, the Carlisle Arts Learning Center reserves the right to cancel a course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, or postpone any program or activity due to unforeseen circumstances. When the Carlisle Arts Learning Center cancels a class, registered students automatically receive a credit towards another class. It is the students responsibility to contact CALC to fulfill this credit. CALC will provide full refunds in the case of a cancelled class when necessary.
In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 72 hours before the first class date. Students who request a withdrawal before the 72 hour period will receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 72 hours before the first day of class are not eligible for a refund or class credit.
Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
