The Carlisle Arts Learning Center (CALC) is a welcoming, community-centered arts nonprofit where people of all ages and backgrounds learn, create, and connect.
We believe creativity belongs at the center of community life.
Our studios and galleries are spaces for exploration, skill-building, and shared experience.
Rooted in community.
Founded in 1992, CALC was established to bring high-quality arts education and exhibition opportunities to the greater Carlisle community. What began as a small arts initiative has grown into a dynamic regional arts hub, serving youth, adults, and professional artists.
Our current home is at 38 W. Pomfret Street, in Carlisle’s thriving arts district, in a 200 year old art deco fire house.
'“My daughter loves CALC.
It is her happy place!”
“After not doing any art after college, this was a great starting point.”
“I enjoyed the class interaction as much as the instruction.”
For every stage of life.
Each year, CALC serves more than 5,000 people in gallery/exhibit engagements, 700 adults in art classes, and 400 youth in after school programs and summer camps.
