Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the people who make our work possible.

From the heART is the Carlisle Arts Learning Center’s annual celebration recognizing an individual whose generosity, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on our community through the arts. Tickets are available here.

This year, we are proud to honor David Metz, a dedicated board member, former Board Chair, and steadfast supporter of CALC. David played a pivotal role in guiding the organization through leadership transition, including spearheading the search for a new Executive Director, and has been a generous advocate for our mission for many years.

Threads of Emotion, Ties that Bind

You’re invited to join us for a special closing presentation for Lineage by Erica Hoelscher.

Saturday, May 30, 1PM

Threads of Emotion, Ties that Bind explores how textile traditions, emotional patterns, and artistic identity were handed down through the generations of my family. Centered on the sculptural work Family Specters, the presentation reflects on matrilineal inheritance, memory, and the ways unspoken family histories shape creative practice. Through personal narrative and design process, I will consider how lineage informs my artistic expression and the stories I’ve inherited, inviting audiences to reflect on their own ancestry and what it means in their lives today.

This closing presentation will be held in the upper gallery at CALC on Saturday, March 30 at 1PM.

CALC’s Art on the Farm, hosted by Talking Breads, blends creativity, sustainability, and community health. Hosted in collaboration with local agricultural partners, this program invites artists and families to explore the intersection of art, food, and the environment. Workshops and exhibitions highlight how creative expression can deepen our connection to the land and those who steward it. The partnership celebrates both artistry and agriculture, underscoring CALC’s belief that creativity thrives in harmony with nature. Proceeds from this event benefit CALC and Farmer’s on the Square, downtown Carlisle’s weekly open-air market.

Tickets available here.
