UPCOMING EVENTS
CONTAIN
CALC’s 2026 January Juried Show, Opening Reception on Friday, January 9, 5:30 - 7pm EST
This year, we invited artists to explore vessels as objects to be created or portrayed, but also as a metaphor. Juried by local ceramic artist and Dickinson Ceramic Studio Instructor, Kirsten Olson, this exhibit contains a diverse range of works create by artists in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, ceramic, fiber, and more! Visit Contain in the G.B. Stuart Gallery.
If you’ve ever taken a class with one of our instructors, then you know just how amazing and talented they are! The Upper Gallery will feature “I Touch the Future” showcasing their work and techniques they share with our students. It’s a great opportunity to see the kids of things you could learn to do in the new year!
Empty Bowls
March 23, 2026
In partnership with Project SHARE, CALC artists and volunteers create hundreds of handmade ceramic bowls for Carlisle’s annual Empty Bowls fundraiser, an event that brings together local potters, restaurants, and community members to fight hunger. Each bowl serves as a symbol of nourishment and compassion, with proceeds supporting Project SHARE’s food distribution and nutrition programs. Through this collaboration, CALC helps transform clay into community action, combining creativity with purpose and reinforcing that art can be a powerful tool for social change.

ART ON THE FARM
August 16, 2026
CALC’s Art on the Farm event blends creativity, sustainability, and community health. Hosted in collaboration with local agricultural partners, this program invites artists and families to explore the intersection of art, food, and the environment. Workshops and exhibitions highlight how creative expression can deepen our connection to the land and those who steward it. The partnership celebrates both artistry and agriculture, underscoring CALC’s belief that creativity thrives in harmony with nature. Proceeds from this event benefit Farmer’s on the Square, downtown Carlisle’s weekly open-air market.
