ArtLab

A space for self-motivated high school students to make their own creative projects, build relationships with peers, and generally have a good time thinking outside of the box! Students have opportunities to develop their ideas, occasionally visit relevant sites/people in town, experiment with new art forms, and learn about contemporary artists and methods. Each student is expected to formulate a small number of pieces/projects, one of which can be submitted to display in the annual CALC Members’ Art Exhibit. Through this explorative experience, students will learn important concepts crucial to art making, interact with each other’s work, and gain experience that can support future endeavors in a variety of creative professions.
