Create a timeless, functional, and beautifully personal traveler’s notebook. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design and assemble a custom notebook tailored to your aesthetic and everyday needs, perfect for journaling, sketching, planning, or creative exploration.
Participants will choose from leather or vegan leather options in a variety of colors and textures, select their cord color, hardware finish, and decorative charms, and learn how to assemble a "journal ecosystem" that can grow with you. You’ll also have the opportunity to personalize your cover with heat foil detailing or leather stamping, adding initials, words, or symbols that make it uniquely yours.
Journal inserts are included, and participants are welcome to bring a favorite notebook or journal to adapt into their traveler’s system if they already have one they love.
By the end of the workshop, participants will gain hands-on experience with:
Measuring and cutting leather or vegan leather accurately
Marking and punching holes for notebook assembly
Finishing and burnishing leather edges for a polished look
Installing metal grommets and hardware
Assembling elastic cord systems for modular notebooks
Personalization techniques, including leather stamping and gold foil application
No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is beginner-friendly and skill-building, with guided instruction throughout. You’ll leave with a handcrafted traveler’s notebook and the confidence to continue creating and customizing your own journals at home.
