Artist Statement

There is my artist self, and the other half of me is landscape architecture. Land form, color expression, and nature have always been a passion in my art. I love to create gardens. The study of plant material is a keen pursuit of mine.

I sow flower seeds – watch them grow – plant them – and then they become subjects for me to paint. I love the process.

I find nasturtiums to be extremely beautiful and colorful. Their irregular shapes intrigue me.

Nasturtiums are very spiritual to me.
