Class Fee: $110 ($125 for non-member) + $10 materials fee

This class will introduce you to the techniques used in pastel artwork including soft, hard and oil pastel.

Topics covered include:

• Safety and handling of materials

• Working dry and wet

• Layering and blending

• Using resist and lifting

• Simple landscapes

• Color families and contrasts.

• Safe use and discussion of fixative.

Refund and Cancellation Policies:

As a nonprofit organization, the Carlisle Arts Learning Center reserves the right to cancel a course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, or postpone any program or activity due to unforeseen circumstances. When the Carlisle Arts Learning Center cancels a class, registered students automatically receive a credit towards another class. It is the students responsibility to contact CALC to fulfill this credit. CALC will provide full refunds in the case of a cancelled class when necessary.

In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 72 hours before the first class date. Students who request a withdrawal before the 72 hour period will receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 72 hours before the first day of class are not eligible for a refund or class credit.

Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
