Learn how to combine printmaking practices with ceramics in this fun two-part workshop! In the first session, students will learn how to carve a block print and impress it into round clay ornaments.

After bisque firing, students will return for a second session to underglaze the impression their block left in the clay, sealing it with a layer of shiny clear glaze. We will finish the day by using our blocks as they are traditionally used- inking and stamping a series of holiday cards to match your ornaments.

After their final firing, students will be able to pick up their ornaments in time to use as holiday décor or give as unique handmade gifts! Each student will create a set of 6 ornaments and up to 12 cards.

Refund and Cancellation Policies:

As a nonprofit organization, the Carlisle Arts Learning Center reserves the right to cancel a course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, or postpone any program or activity due to unforeseen circumstances. When the Carlisle Arts Learning Center cancels a class, registered students automatically receive a credit towards another class. It is the students responsibility to contact CALC to fulfill this credit. CALC will provide full refunds in the case of a cancelled class when necessary.

In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 72 hours before the first class date. Students who request a withdrawal before the 72 hour period will receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 72 hours before the first day of class are not eligible for a refund or class credit.

Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
