IN AN EFFORT TO STAY CONNECTED WITH OUR MEMBER ARTISTS, WE THOUGHT WE WOULD VISIT THEIR STUDIOS AND SHARE A BIT OF THEIR WORK IN PROGRESS WITH YOU.
•TODAY WE FEATURE PAMELA BLACK•
I'm an abstract painter who loves to explore color and movement through water-based mediums. I'm fortunate to have a home studio where I have been able to spend a few hours a day painting during the quarantine. My 5 year old and 2 year old can usually be found painting alongside me.
I'm participating in a 100 Day Challenge. Each day I am painting a mini painting until the 100 days are up. It has been a great way to keep up my studio practice and connect with other creatives on social media. Here are some of my paintings so far.
My daughter took this picture of me working in my studio the other day. I'm working on a commission for a client who wanted a painting inspired by a particular meditation she listens to each morning.
Here are two larger acrylic paintings that I just finished.
My son likes to come into my studio to play with my tubes of paint. I turned the extra bedroom in our house into my studio. I'm lucky to have a room filled with natural light every day.
Here's a time-lapse of one of my mini paintings from the 100 Day Challenge.
