Take a peek into a piece that Lauren Delk is currently working on. She not only is a very talented Ceramic Artist, and Calligraphy Artist (have you seen the wall she created in the office!!!) she is a very talented Artist as a whole and a great addition to the CALC Team. We hope you enjoy!

I started with a white base and drew a grid with charcoal. I then started filling in each square with neutral colors, choosing which lines of the grid to cover up vs. reveal.

 I then drew expressive organic lines over everything.

 I am now working within the grid and the organic lines, choosing what to veil and what to conceal, to create a final piece that plays with rigidity, shape, and mystery.
