ArtWorks
Art, service, and social engagement come together in ArtWorks! This program (after school, grades 7-9) aims to build confidence and camaraderie through shared expression in a positive, supportive environment. Students explore the ways that art can inform communities, and they make group projects inspired by observation, current events, and their local environment. In the program, everyone has opportunities to express their own voice and translate concepts into actions through art.

ArtLab
ArtLab (after school, grades 9-12) is a space for self-motivated high school students to make their own creative projects, build relationships with peers, and think outside of the box. Students have opportunities to develop their ideas, experiment with new art forms, and explore contemporary artists and methods. Each student is expected to formulate a small number of pieces/projects, one of which can be submitted to display in the annual CALC Members’ Art Exhibit. Through this explorative experience, students learn important concepts crucial to art making, interact with each other’s work, and gain experience that can support future endeavors in a variety of creative professions.
CONNECT Summer Camp
The CONNECT program (rising grades 7-10) is a 4-week community-engaged creative summer camp. The program focuses on empowering teens, of all backgrounds and abilities, by inspiring creativity and social interaction in a supportive environment. Through projects, field trips, and hands-on activities with local community partners in the arts, sciences, and humanities, students in this program build self-confidence and appreciation for collaboration.
