This project started with a plein air painting which I am using as reference for a hand-painted tissue paper collage.

 I started by sketching the basic shapes on a canvas.

Then starting to choose the papers from my stash.

By using layers of colors (note tan going down under where blues will be), I can create a more complicated surface.

The textures really show here.  I won't show the final product, as it is being prepared for a show in September!
