IN AN EFFORT TO STAY CONNECTED WITH OUR MEMBER ARTISTS, WE THOUGHT WE WOULD VISIT THEIR STUDIOS AND SHARE A BIT OF THEIR WORK IN PROGRESS WITH YOU.
• TODAY WE WILL FEATURE BROOKE JONES, FROM HUMBLE HAND CO •
I am fortunate and thankful to have a small studio space in my home; equipped with a wheel, tools, clay, unfinished work, and many books.
Typically clay gives me peace of mind, but during this pandemic I’ve found myself on the other side of a closed studio door.
It took some time before I discovered other mediums through art history books and my husband’s architecture books.
The images and colors I saw on these pages sparked an interest in adding more shapes, lines, texture and depth to my work. For now these colorful cups will rest on a shelf until they can be fired.
