Lana Heckendorn comes to CALC with a breadth of studio knowledge. She developed her functional porcelain work at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia and after spending 29 years there, and she moved back to Central PA. She makes pots in her studio right here in Carlisle, PA!

This class is the perfect opportunity to glean knowledge from Lana's years of experience. Refine your studio skills and add a few new techniques to your skill set. Designed for the intermediate student, this class will focus on creating your desired forms with intention. Using a variety of approaches to throwing specific forms, we’ll problem-solve with various techniques, and explore glazing and surface design. Students are welcome to bring their own throwing questions to the class for guidance.

Refund and Cancellation Policies:

As a nonprofit organization, the Carlisle Arts Learning Center reserves the right to cancel a course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, or postpone any program or activity due to unforeseen circumstances. When the Carlisle Arts Learning Center cancels a class, registered students automatically receive a credit towards another class. It is the students responsibility to contact CALC to fulfill this credit. CALC will provide full refunds in the case of a cancelled class when necessary.

In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 72 hours before the first class date. Students who request a withdrawal before the 72 hour period will receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 72 hours before the first day of class are not eligible for a refund or class credit.

Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
