Description: Learn how to make objects appear three dimensional on the paper by using specific pencil stroke techniques. Improve knowledge of values, graphite pencils, lighting, composition, highlights, and reflections. Focus on drawing human hands and eyes. Lessons and projects about stippling, hatching, and crosshatching will be included. The last class of the session we will draw the expressions and fur of certain animals.
Supplies are not included. Please refer to the supply list provided.
Supply list:
1. Graphite pencil set (any brand)-2H, 4H, 6H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B
9 X 12 inch drawing pad, 50 sheets, 70 lbs.
Fine tip and ultra fine tip black Sharpie markers
Two black or blue ball point pens
Prismacolor Premier colored pencils-set of 24-may be purchased at Walmart, Target, Amazon
Eraser
Sand eraser
Pencil sharpener-manual or electric
One sheet of Mi-Teintes colored drawing paper-19X25 inches-any color except white OR Artagain Assorted Tints colored drawing paper
Illustration pens: .005, .05, .08, 1.0 (point sizes)-any brand
Paper blending sticks-a pack of different sizes
One pair of scissors
One ruler

Refund and Cancellation Policies:
As a nonprofit organization, the Carlisle Arts Learning Center reserves the right to cancel a course that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements, or postpone any program or activity due to unforeseen circumstances. When the Carlisle Arts Learning Center cancels a class, registered students automatically receive a credit towards another class. It is the students responsibility to contact CALC to fulfill this credit. CALC will provide full refunds in the case of a cancelled class when necessary.
In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 72 hours before the first class date. Students who request a withdrawal before the 72 hour period will receive a 90% refund or 100% class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 72 hours before the first day of class are not eligible for a refund or class credit.
Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
