IN AN EFFORT TO STAY CONNECTED WITH OUR MEMBER ARTISTS, WE THOUGHT WE WOULD VISIT THEIR STUDIOS AND SHARE A BIT OF THEIR WORK IN PROGRESS WITH YOU.
• TODAY WE FEATURE ARLYN PETTINGELL •
Arlyn's studio space is compact and filled with paintings in various stages. She revisits subject matter and compositions often, refining to create her new vision.
This painting is getting a rework, small refinements.
A similar cello player appeared in the Works and Working show. Arlyn has been inspired to paint him again. Classical music is a constant companion in her studio.
Arlyn has begun working on some portraits, including Picasso and Winston Churchill. On the easel now is a quick start on a portrait of a dear friend.
Here's a shot of the same portrait after a little more work.
Arlyn's children's book "The Train Whistle and the Lily Pond" is available at CALC.
