ICS Sign-up

Independent Clay Studio (ICS) is an opportunity for additional studio time when the studio is open and available. ICS is available for both experienced potters and CALC students who want to practice in the studio outside of regularly scheduled class time. Independent Clay Studio users must be CALC members. ICS users are required to:

1.    Be a member of CALC

2.    Ages: 12- Adult (12-18yo. must also have completed at least a 6 week course at CALC and have approval of studio manager)

·      ICS users will be responsible for purchasing passes once approval has been granted. They are also required to purchase clay and firings. Glazes are provided and covered in the cost of the glaze-firing fee.

·      Equipment use is not guaranteed and instruction is not provided. ICS is intended for those with experience only.

·      No refunds of any kind will be issued for ICS purchases regardless of the reason.

·      All new ICS members must schedule an orientation with the studio manager to ensure safe and clear understanding of CALC studio operations.

·      ICS Passes expire four months after the date of purchase.

3.    Have taken at least two CALC ceramic classes in the past two years and have approval from the studio manager or have previous experience and taken one ceramics class at CALC and have approval from the studio manager.

              
ICS Passes expire 12 months after date of purchase. Inactivity after two months will result in the removal of work and clay from your shelf—ICS users will be notified.

Bisque Firing fee: Average price is $2/piece; price is determined by size
Glazing firing fee: Average price is $4/piece; price is determined by size
Full bag of Clay (25 lbs.): $20
No refund will be issued for any ICS purchases.
