Bracelet or Ring, Your Choice

Choose either the Lost Wax Cast Inspirational Bracelet or Memory Ring as your project

Bracelet:

Create your own custom Inspirational Link Style Bracelet. You’ll be creating your bracelets from cutting your own wax links (total of 6), adding words (max 7 characters) and decorating them however you choose with stamps Melissa has available. You will also be using a mini torch to roll or flash the edges and gating the waxes to prepare for the casting process. All of the bracelet links will be soldered by Melissa so that you will not have to worry about losing your bracelet. The only prep that needs done by you is deciding what words touch you or bring you happiness, joy and peace.

Fee: $55 ($45 members) + $85 Materials Fee

Memory Rings:

Make your own, set of 3, Memory Rings. These rings can encompass words, phrases or dates. You will be stamping, filing, shaping and grinding. Melissa will be using the torch to solder the rings and the buffer to give your rings a fabulous shine. Pricing for the class includes the Sterling Silver 4mm wide X 1mm thick strip (these are very sturdy bands).

Natural Dyeing with Avocado

Explore the wonderful world of natural dyeing. We will be using avocado pits to dye a large cotton gauze scarf a soft pink. Learn how to mordant, prepare the dye and care for your naturally dyed textile.

Make a Face!

1-Day Workshop with Ceramic Artist, Maureen Joyce

Maureen will show you how to sculpt your own character on a preprared form. Students will choose to create either a vase or mug our of their piece.

Try it Out! - RAKU Workshop

RAKU participants will glaze and fire a prepared form
that you will take home that night. This ancient Japanese process of ceramics yields dramatic results!

CALC Refund Policy for Art Classes

Carlisle Arts Learning Center does not provide a cash refund for cancellation of art classes, unless the class is cancelled by CALC. If the student cancels with a notice of at least 30 days prior to the start of the class a gift certi cate will be issued for 100% of the class fee. If the student cancels with less than 30 days prior notice a gift certi cate will be issued for 90% of the class value.
