Sculpt It!

We’ll explore & create 3D sculptures using everything we can find! From wire to paper mache, to recyclables and duct tape, each sculpture is sure to be one-of-a-kind!

The Nature of Art

Week #2/June 12-16
FULL DAY ~ 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

Inspired by photographs on exhibit at The Trout Gallery, kids will learn how nature can be turned into art. Come explore basket-weaving, fabric dyeing, totem-pole carving, and sand painting, play in a drum circle & taste traditional Native American foods!
Each day starts at CALC and ends at the Trout Gallery.  Campers need to bring a lunch.

Join us for a week of creative writing and art!
Learn how to make your own handmade books, write creative stories and liven them up with your own illustrations. Fun techniques for drawing, painting, and collage will be shown throughout the week.

Fun with Fiber Arts

Week #4/June 26-30 ~ 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Explore the many different things we can make with textiles including an indigo dyed t-shirt, a printed tote bag, an appliquéd pillow & more. We’ll even try our hands... or arms(!) at arm knitting.

Young Designers

Campers will get an introduction to design by
exploring how something looks and how it works. We’ll create prototypes for transportation vehicles of the future, design magazine covers and play with fashion. Each day will be a different area of design.

The Science of Art

Week #8/July 31-August 4

Where do art and science collide?  It turns out, everywhere! Come learn about pioneering artist/scientists who changed the world, including one famous example on view at The Trout Gallery! Kids will engage in science experiments that create wild and unpredictable works of art.
