Summer Art Camp for Kids!
CALC Camp for Kids (Ages 5 - 11): 8:30am - Noon

| Week 1 (June 16-20): "Hands On Clay!" Campers will get their hands dirty with clay and more clay. They will
pinch it, roll it, model it, paint it, glaze it, smush it and build it. |
| Week 2 (June 23-27): "Scales, Tails and Wings"
Take an artistic journey through the rainforest and discover
patterns and colors that you never knew existed. Live models will visit the classroom. |
Week 3 (June 30-July 3):
"Picnic Pizazz"
Campers will examine "food as art and art as
food". All kinds of fun mediums will be used to create yummy looking and yummy eating
projects!

| Week 4 (July 7-11): "Photo Imagining"
Imagine it and you can do it with photos and photography. Campers
will be introduced to photography as an art form... photo transfers, collages, and
darkroom projects will be introduced. |
| Week 5 (July 14-18): "Green: Not Just A Color"
Campers will have fun creating "organic art". Nature
will provide the materials and the campers will provide the imagination! |
| Week 6 (July 21-25): "Rock, Paper, Scissors"
This childhood game will be the inspiration for mosaics, origami,
collages and more. Do paper projects really beat rock projects? The kids will decide! |
| Week 7 (July 28-August 1):
"Fantastic Fantasy" Fairies, Aliens
and Gnomes will "visit" the camp in a variety of art forms. Campers will have
fun creating masks, creatures and fantasy habitats out of clay and other fun art mediums. |
| Week 8 (August 4-8): "A New View on Show and Tell"
Papermaking, lettering, illustration and storytellingwill be just
a few of the fabulous art projects for the week. You will never look at a book in the same
way after this camp! |
| Week 9 (August 11-15): "Clay, Clay... Every Day is Clay!"
Clay was so popular last camp season that this camp is an
extension of Week 1 with all new projects and all new fun. |
| Week 10 (August 18-22): "2, 4, 6, 8... Legs, That Is!"
Reptiles, amphibians and dinosaurs will be the models this week.
Clay, wire and found objects will be the materials. This is a great "last
hoorah" of fun before school starts! |
All materials and snacks will be provided.
Enthusiastic, creative, experienced instructors. Each camper will receive a t-shirt.
