This class is about shooting with a different mindset about photography. We will explore a variety of alternatives to conventional image production including disposable cameras, cell phones, sun printing, and the use of scanners. This class challenges the new normal, pushing boundaries. Think of it as developing tools to get beyond the points of stability and comfort that lead to creativity, stimulation, and imagination.

Prerequisite: Students must have access to a laptop computer and the Adobe Photoshop program.

Guy Freeman, has worked as a professional photographer for more than thirty-two years. Alongside his commercial experience serving the corporate and industrial markets, he’s always maintained a vibrant interest in the Fine Art side of the medium. Photography has been his life. As it is with many photographers, his commercial work has coexisted with and supported his personal work. He has been teaching photography at CALC since 1999 and his work has been included in the Art of the State show at the State Museum in Harrisburg
