Beginner level, metal jewelry making class. Work with copper, brass & aluminum. We’ll cover texturing, riveting, pierce sawing and adding color to your metal. Create a piece of jewelry unlike any other! Choose from a Copper Pendant with a Leather Cord & Copper Bracelet or Memory Rings. All materials & tools provided. No prior experience necessary.
Workshops are held in Melissa Colucci’s studio in Boiling Springs. Directions provided upon registration.

Create a sky blue silk scarf dyeing with fresh indigo leaves. We’ll be using indigo harvested from the instructor’s garden that morning. No vat, no chemicals, no blue hands (or not very blue!). Join us to learn about one of the simplest and most beautiful indigo applications. While our textiles are dyeing there will be another fiber-based project to explore.

This four-week class is designed to help first-time sock knitters understand the basics of top-down sock knitting. Learn how to follow a basic top-down sock pattern which includes picking up stitches, turning a heel, and how to graft a toe seam using Kitchener Stitch!

Enjoy a fun, creative class as you make a special and meaningful card for a child who is sick in the hospital. You will make between 2-3 handmade greeting cards in this class as you follow some guidelines on content. The “Cards For Hospitalized Kids” organization will distribute new hand made greeting cards to sick children in hospitals in the USA. Cards will be collected after the class and mailed to Cards For Hospitalized Kids in one large envelope.

CALC Refund Policy for Art Classes
Carlisle Arts Learning Center does not provide a cash refund for cancellation of art classes, unless the class is cancelled by CALC. If the student cancels with a notice of at least 30 days prior to the start of the class a gift certi cate will be issued for 100% of the class fee. If the student cancels with less than 30 days prior notice a gift certi cate will be issued for 90% of the class value.
