A course outlining and teaching the basics of abstraction and how to cultivate color, texture and shape into your work. Moving away from strict lines and forms, this class will teach you how to create artistic pieces that evoke emotion and move away from rendering. All skill levels welcome.

The Bee's Knees En-caustic Painting

An introduction to encaustic medium, which is a combination of beeswax and damar varnish - used warm. It can be colored, used as a collage medium, and incised or textured. After finishing, it can be buffed to a beautiful luster. We will create a square block with some natural motifs and hand-coloring which could sit or hang.

Flower Triptych
