Enameling Basics: Two-tone Color Drops

Experiment with opaque and transparent vitreous enamels on copper to make either an ornament or set of color drop earrings. Each participant will go home with a finished project in this kiln-enameling class. Hypoallergenic findings for those with metal allergies and higher-design upgrades will be available.

Intro to Metal: Riveting & Texture

Metalworking Meets Enameling

Learn the valuable skill of metal piercing. Using a tiny saw blade, each participant will learn the correct technique to cut out your own design from copper sheet. Students will transform the finished form into enameled pendants or ornaments, with a wide variety of color options available. This class is well suited for jewelry artists who would like to gain a new skill and can open up a world of design possibilities that may be difficult to master alone. Open to all skill levels, we will match design elements and difficulty level to each participant.

Learn to Love Your Jeweler’s Saw

Do you have a jewelers saw just sitting in a drawer because it’s too hard to use?  Come to this class and you’ll learn to love your jeweler’s saw! Class will cover how to load the saw blade, proper techniques for sawing metal, and tips and tricks to make sawing your favorite thing!

Intro to Metal: Color on Metal

In this class, you’ll discover different ways to add color to your metal jewelry. You will get a chance to work with a long acting patina, Liver of Sulfur patina and alcohol inks. Learn how to prepare your metal and how to finish it. You will leave the class with a finished pendant!

CALC Refund Policy for Art Classes
Carlisle Arts Learning Center does not provide a cash refund for cancellation of art classes, unless the class is cancelled by CALC. In order to request a withdrawal from a class or workshop, students must contact CALC at least 5 days before the first class meeting. Students who request a withdrawal at least 5 days prior to the first meeting will receive a 90% tuition class credit. Students withdrawing fewer than 5 days from the first day of class are not eligible for a class credit.
Please note we are unable to provide make-up opportunities, prorate or provide refunds for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts.
