CALC participates in many annual community events, such as First Night, the Amani Festival, Summerfair, and the Harvest of the Arts Festival (formerly Octubafest). CALC has also co-sponsored programming with On and Off Stage for Kids (OOSK), the children's program committee of the Carlisle Theatre. Since the grand opening of its own building in September 1998, CALC has made its facility available for meetings or other events to such groups as the American Diabetes Association, Carlisle Area School District, Leadership Carlisle, the Downtown Carlisle Association, the Yellow Breeches Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Unity Day committees, and a skatepark organizing committee. CALC also rents its facilities for private events (children's birthday parties, etc.). CALC is a member of the Downtown Carlisle Association and the Cumberland Valley Gallery and Studio Council.

Amani Festival

This multicultural festival is held the first Saturday in May. The Carlisle Arts Learning Center is one of several community organizations participating in the Children's Alley, providing free arts-and-crafts activities.

First Night Carlisle

Ring in the New Year with exciting arts and crafts at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center. Held each December 31, First Night Carlisle is a family-oriented occasion that offers a range of activities and performances at a number of venues throughout the downtown. CALC's hands-on projects are especially geared for children of all ages. Admission to CALC and other venues by advance-purchase First Night buttons only.

Harvest Of The Arts Festival

Held the second Saturday in October, this festival is sponsored by the Downtown Carlisle Association. The 2005 date for this event is October 8. The Carlisle Arts Learning Center is one of several community organizations participating in the Kid's Alley, providing free arts-and-crafts activities. CALC also sells raffle tickets and auction tickets to its Annual Benefit Art Auction at this festival.

Summerfair

This community-wide event is held on several days leading up to and after the Fourth of July. The Carlisle Arts Learning Center sponsors hands-on arts-and-crafts activities for children on Saturday morning on the Dickinson College campus, as part of the Summerfair arts fair that day.

YWCA Peace Festival

The Carlisle Arts Learning Center is one of several community organizations participating in this festival--emphasizing non-violence and cooperation--held in the fall each year.
