CALC participates in many
annual community events, such as First Night, the Amani Festival, Summerfair, and the
Harvest of the Arts Festival (formerly Octubafest). CALC has also co-sponsored programming
with On and Off Stage for Kids (OOSK), the children's program committee of the Carlisle
Theatre. Since the grand opening of its own building in September 1998, CALC has made its
facility available for meetings or other events to such groups as the American Diabetes
Association, Carlisle Area School District, Leadership Carlisle, the Downtown Carlisle
Association, the Yellow Breeches Chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, Unity Day
committees, and a skatepark organizing committee. CALC also rents its facilities for
private events (children's birthday parties, etc.). CALC is a member of the Downtown
Carlisle Association and the Cumberland Valley Gallery and Studio Council.
