Artists Exhibit Opportunities

CALC Members’ Sales Gallery

Shop local and support your local artists! CALC’s Member Sales Gallery is open 12 months a year and features an everchanging variety of photography, fine art, plein air and local scenes, jewelry and ceramics reflecting the talent of our community.

All current members are welcome to show and sell their work through the Gallery at CALC. Exhibit opportunities are available 12 months a year, including the Members’ Show in February and the Art for the Holidays exhibit in November and December. Members can contact Gallery Coordinator Cathy Stone for more information.


THE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, 1340 Forge Road

Exhibit size: approximately 8 framed 2D work

BOSLER FREE LIBRARY
158 W. High Street

Guidelines
  1. Sign up is first come first serve, opening Tuesday November 2, 2011 --- 19 places available. Sign up at Bosler 9 to 10 AM on November 2nd or contact exhibit coordinator Larry Rankin or call 243-1387.
  2. Works are to be suitably matted and framed (painted canvas only is OK) with an attached wire ready for hanging. Please no clip hooks. 2-D only.
  3. Please deliver works to Bosler at 9 AM on hanging date (and pick up when next exhibit is hung). Contact Larry to make other arrangements if needed.
  4. Sign in works on sheet provided including artist’s name, medium, and price.
  5. Fill out CALC label for your entry. There is a separate holder for business cards.
  6. Sales and sales tax will be handled by CALC which retains 35% commission.
  7. If you have signed up and find that you cannot participate, please notify Larry as soon as possible in order to facilitate a replacement.
  8. Neither CALC nor Bosler can assume any responsibility for theft or damage.

MURATA BUSINESS CENTER, 453 Lincoln Street, hours 9-5
This is a really bright and large place to hang a body of work.
Rotation: 3 months
Details: Main hallway, about 10 pieces, large is best. Conference Room, 3 pieces that work well together, large is best.
Entry:
Submit your name, medium and brief bio along with first and second preferred time slots to coordinator Carol Reed.

ALLENBERRY RESORT, 1559 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs
Rotation: 2 months
Restrictions: No nudes, portraitures, abstracts, pet portraits, animals. Local scenes are good. Allenberry scenes are best.

CARLISLE BOROUGH HALL, 53 W. South Street, Carlisle, PA
Small 2D and 3D pieces to be placed on shelves in the dining room. Shelves are about 7:30 – 4:30 Mon. – Fri.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, 212 N. Hanover Street
Rotation: 3 months
Details: Cumberland County or business related themes are best. Front: 3 large sized pieces that work well together. Back office: 5-6 pieces (11x14 or 16x20 range). Board Room: 5-6 pieces various sizes.

WORKS IN THE WINDOWS, various Carlisle locations
Varying requirements of size depending upon availability of windows. Work must not be sensitive to light as most windows are subject to sunlight.
